Job summary

Paycom in Plano, TX seeks a Medical Assistant III to provide advanced clinical support, lead team tasks, and mentor other Medical Assistants. You will work with physicians and clinical teams to uphold patient care standards and efficient operations.

Key duties include documenting vitals in the EMR, performing injections and immunizations, managing the clinical inbox, conducting audits, leading pod activities, and training new hires while ensuring OSHA compliance and high patient experience.

Qualifications

• CMA certification and active licensure or registry.
• 3+ years as Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Infection control, regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Advanced clinical skills including injections, vaccines, and phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtain, document, and record patient vitals and clinical information in the EMR.
• Perform duties of Medical Assistant III including procedures, injections, immunizations.
• Manage clinical inbox for self, provider, and Pod; respond to inquiries and refills.
• Lead or coordinate small team tasks and huddles; support pod coverage.
• Document encounters using audit tools; conduct chart audits and OSHA compliance.
• Provide mentorship and onboarding training for new Medical Assistants.
