Paycom - ATS is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed providers in both clinic and surgical environments. You will deliver compassionate, knowledgeable care and help with exams, injections, and sutures, while maintaining patient safety and accurate records.

You will collect vital signs, prepare rooms, and explain care instructions. The role requires English proficiency, basic computer skills, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications.
• Detail oriented and professional.
• Strong management and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow verbal & written instructions with clear grammar and spelling.
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with basic computer operations (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to licensed medical providers in clinic and surgical settings.
• Interview patients, record medical information, vital signs, and measurements.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms, ensure sterile fields, and handle supplies.
• Assist with injections, sutures, and medications under physician direction.
• Provide patient education on procedures, diets, wound care, and post-care instructions.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests/admissions with other facilities.
• Record and document all procedures accurately and timely.
• Respond to emergencies per policies and maintain equipment and room cleanliness.
