Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Medical Assistant III to support patient care across the clinic. You will manage patient flow, assist during procedures with RN or physician directions, and help mentor new staff.

The role requires completion of a accredited MA program, WA certification as applicable, BLS, and 2+ years in ambulatory care. We value safety, teamwork, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of ABHES/CAAHEP accredited medical assistant program.
• WA Surgical Technologist Registration within 30 days if location requires.
• Current BLS Provider certification and renewal every two years.
• Two years’ medical assistant experience in ambulatory clinic preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow in the assigned clinic areas.
• Assist with procedures under physician or RN direction.
• Lead training initiatives with leadership and mentor new hires.
• Maintain aseptic technique and safety during procedures.
• Prepare, transport and document specimens and supplies.
