Orlando Health Physician Associates, part of the Orlando Health system, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in an ambulatory setting. Located at 725 Rodel Cove, Lake Mary, FL, the role involves collecting patient data, assisting with exams and procedures, and coordinating care with the care team.

Qualifications include high school diploma, completion of an approved Medical Assistant program, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school.
• Minimum three (3) years as Certified Medical Assistant.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• National CMA/medical assistant certifications (CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA/NRCAMA, RMA) or equivalent registry.

Responsabilités

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager, Nursing Operations Manager, or Practice Manager for operational issues.
• Embraces and participates in quality initiatives and clinical outcome process improvement activities.
• Supports and demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients and families.
• Works collaboratively with administrative and operations staff.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
