Job description

Regions Hospital - Sr. Medical Assistant

Regions Hospital is seeking a Sr. Medical Assistant with knowledge of basic patient care and routine medical, physical, and developmental tests to join our Lakeview Clinic team. This is a per diem position with shifts Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing duties related to patient diagnosis and treatment, tailored to the age-specific needs of adolescents and the patient population served.
• Assisting doctors and nurses in a clinical setting with general healthcare provision.
• Coordinating clinic-specific functions and monitoring supply levels.
• Providing backup support in the front/back desk areas.
• Working with computer software and database programs.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Clinic hours from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• At least six months of experience in a specialty area such as Oncology or Medicine.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of medical assistant experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification.
