Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Medicaid Batch/Application Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support complex batch processing applications in Linux and Unix environments, delivering reliable, scalable solutions for Medicaid operations.

It is a fully remote role with national scope in the United States, offering opportunities to grow through cloud and DevOps practices, with collaboration across analysts, QA, and infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements and client needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in application development and batch programming using C, Unix, and Linux.
• Proven track record leading technical teams and guiding SDLC in Agile/Waterfall.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support complex batch processing applications within Linux and Unix environments, ensuring reliable and scalable solutions for Medicaid operations.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring developers, guiding solution design, conducting code reviews, and supporting all phases of the SDLC.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions that meet client, regulatory, and operational needs.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and database issues using SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Support change management, release planning, production deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives with automation, cloud technologies, and DevOps.
• Contribute to design and support of Medicaid healthcare systems including claims processing, PBM, and batch processing environments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and support materials to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
