Job summary

Gainwell Technologies in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Claims/Application Developer to design, develop, and support batch processing applications in Linux/Unix. You will lead technical teams, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with analysts, QA, and operations.

This fully remote role offers travel up to 10%, flexible schedules, and access to leadership and technical development academies as part of a career growth path.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Application Development, Technical Leadership, and Batch Programming using C, Unix, and Linux.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams, mentoring developers, and SDLC support in Agile/Waterfall.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle, including querying and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support complex batch processing applications in Linux/Unix for Medicaid operations.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and guidance across SDLC in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, QA, and operations to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot database issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support release planning, production deployments, and modernization through automation and cloud adoption.
• Contribute to Medicaid healthcare systems design, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
