Job Summary:
The Senior Media Planner supports the Media Director and team in managing media planning activities for agency clients. Key responsibilities include analyzing campaign performance, developing innovative media strategies across both online and offline platforms, managing campaign execution, negotiating proposals with vendors, and participating in agency training sessions.
The role involves overseeing all aspects of media plan implementation, such as ATBs, insertion orders, tracking, billing, and reporting. The Senior Media Planner ensures timely delivery of media documents, including Media Plans, Point-of-Views (POVs), competitive analyses, flowcharts, and Reach and Frequency reports for assigned clients.
Additionally, the Senior Media Planner is expected to foster strong relationships with clients and vendors, collaborate with senior executives, and mentor junior team members on special projects. Regular communication with the Media Director regarding project progress, challenges, and related matters is essential.
The position also emphasizes ongoing professional development, encouraging participation in agency and industry training while staying informed about the latest trends in the media landscape.

Duties/Responsibilities:
·Supports the development and implementation of national, regional, and/or local traditional and digital media strategies that could include some or all of the following:
oLinear TV, both traditional and direct response formats
oRadio
oOutdoor and experiential
oDigital Media – across the entire ecosystem, including Social, Search, Programmatic, Native, Influencer, Audio, etc.
oPrint
oAttribution – inclusive of MMM and MTA
· Assists in the preparation of recommendations, POVs, select analysis, etc.
· Utilizes available traditional media planning tools (Nielsen, Kantar/Vivvix, Media Tools, Simmons, Advantage, etc.)
· Reviews media buys and post-buy analysis to ensure that each is in conformity with media plans and guidelines
·Conducts research and analysis to inform media mix and testing strategies
·Pulls reporting specific to the digital ecosystem, analyzes and provides optimization recommendations
· Assists in digital campaign set up, including informing measurement plans, campaign set up and tagging in tools such as DCM
· Develops ATBs and issues insertion orders
· Leads competitive analysis for clients
·Analyzes tracking reports to derives insights for client reporting and campaign optimizations
·Presents reporting, recommendations and other items as needed to clients
·Manages workflows and timelines and aligns with both clients and internal team members
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Four-year degree in Marketing, Business, or Advertising
•Four+ years of media planning/buying is required
•Knowledge in multi-channel planning across broadcast, digital, print, OOH, etc.
•Experience with various media planning tools: Kantar/Vivvix, Pathmatics, Scarborough, MediaTools, DCM, Telmar, Nielsen, Simmons, etc.
•Must be familiar with digital strategy and tag implementation via tools such as DCM
•Can demonstrate successful campaign implementation and stewardship through proven results
•Ideal candidate should have good analytical skills and be extremely well organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and strong follow-up skills are a must
•Strong Excel, PPT and Outlook skills required
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Effective at working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
•Ability to interact daily with clients, internal teams, and vendors
•Ability to effectively project manage through tools such as Asana
•Positive and energetic attitude
Education and Experience:
•Four-year degree in Marketing, Business, or Advertising
•Four+ years of media planning/buying is required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
