Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent medical malpractice defense paralegal experience.
• Strong knowledge of Florida state court procedures, deadlines, and e-filing.
• Experience reviewing and organizing extensive medical records.
• Ability to prepare medical chronologies and deposition summaries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys throughout all phases of medical malpractice litigation.
• Manage and maintain case files from inception through trial.
• Review, organize, and summarize medical records.
• Prepare medical chronologies, deposition summaries, and case summaries.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, expert witness meetings, and trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, healthcare providers, and opposing counsel.
• Monitor litigation deadlines and maintain attorney calendars.
• Assist with trial exhibits, witness files, and courtroom preparation.
• Perform electronic court filings in Florida state and federal courts.
• Support attorneys with additional litigation-related responsibilities as needed.
