Job summary

Nordson EFD in East Providence, RI is seeking a Principal Mechatronics Engineer & Tech. Lead to conceive, architect, and bring electro-mechanical dispensing systems to market.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, synthesize voice of the customer, design actuators, sensors, control algorithms and data interfaces, and drive product development from concept to high-volume production. Experience in regulated industries a plus.

Qualifications

• 8 years’ experience launching electro-mechanical products with actuators, sensors, and embedded control.
• Demonstrated interdisciplinary ownership across firmware, electrical and mechanical design.
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and realization of electro-mechanical systems for precision dispensing.
• Drive new product development from concept to high-volume production.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional engineering teams.
• Oversee design verification, testing, and regulatory compliance.
