Job summary

Nordson EFD, a global leader in fluid dispensing, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead complex manufacturing and process initiatives across operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements. You will act as a subject matter expert, mentor others, collaborate with product development, and justify capital expenditures through technical and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 5-7 years related experience.
• Experience leading process improvement/automation projects.
• Six Sigma Black or Green Belt a plus.
• Spanish bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex process engineering projects from concept through implementation, including capital equipment, automation, and process optimization Initiatives.
• Serve as a technical expert for manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and process controls.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex manufacturing issues using advanced problem-solving and statistical techniques.
• Lead cross-functional teams in support of operational excellence, new product introduction, cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity expansion initiatives.
• Develop and implement advanced process controls, monitoring systems, and best practices to improve process capability and reduce variation.
• Drive continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, technicians, operators, and other functional teams.
• Evaluate and justify capital expenditure through technical and financial analysis.
• Support strategic manufacturing objectives through data-driven decision making and long-term process improvement planning.
• Develop, standardize, and document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure manufacturability and robust process implementation.
• Lead risk assessments, PFMEA activities, process validation efforts, and corrective action investigations.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while achieving established objectives and deadlines.
• Act as a technical resource across departments and manufacturing sites.
