Job summary

Mycronic is seeking a Senior Semiconductor Equipment Engineer (Mechanical) to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of automated plasma equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will drive concepts through prototyping, testing, and product launch, collaborating with electrical, controls, software, and process teams to deliver high-precision, reliable systems.

The role requires 10+ years in mech tool design, expertise in SolidWorks and GD&T, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in mechatronics (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• 10+ years of mechanical tool design experience in semiconductor/high-precision equipment.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering development for turnkey plasma equipment from concept to launch.
• Design and integrate mechanical and mechatronic systems for high-precision plasma tools.
• Create detailed mechanical designs and documentation with emphasis on GD&T and manufacturability.
• Guide cross-functional teams including electrical, controls, software, and process engineers.
• Plan testing, troubleshooting, and validation to meet performance and reliability goals.
• Support installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting worldwide.
