Job summary

Mycronic is seeking an experienced Senior Semiconductor Equipment Engineer (Mechanical) to lead the end-to-end development of turnkey atmospheric argon plasma tools for the semiconductor industry. The role requires deep mechatronics expertise and collaboration with sales, service, and management teams.

You will drive fast, damage-free surface modification solutions, mentor engineers, and travel internationally as needed to support deployments and customer sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in mechatronics (mechanical/electrical).
• 10+ years mechanical tool design experience, preferably in semiconductor/high-precision equipment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, GD&T, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Spearheads the end-to-end mechanical engineering development cycle for turnkey plasma tools, from conceptualization through design, testing, and market launch.
• Innovates and implements advanced mechatronic solutions for high-precision, fully automated plasma machines for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Applies engineering principles using SolidWorks and GD&T for mechanical design and integration.
• Ensures tools deliver fast, damage-free, particle-free surface modification using atmospheric argon plasma tech.
• Manages project timelines and resources with strong communication and MS Project.
• Mentors junior engineers and fosters a collaborative, innovative environment.
• Provides global technical support, including international travel, to enable deployment.
