Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a startup in the automotive robotics space. You will drive design from concept through prototyping and testing toward deployment, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in electro-mechanical design, and hands-on skills with CAD, GD&T, actuators, sensors, and PLM systems. On-site in Massachusetts with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of electro-mechanical systems experience in robotics/industrial settings.
• Experience designing, specifying, and integrating actuators, motors, sensors (encoders, load cells, proximity sensors).
• CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Onshape or equivalent).
• Skilled in engineering drawings and GD&T practices.
• Familiar with Arena or equivalent PLM for document control and BOM management.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting of mechatronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical and mechatronic design, prototyping, and testing.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams on projects.
• Documentation and vendor management.
