The role emphasizes leadership on complex programs, interaction with suppliers, and collaboration across engineering disciplines.

The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, support tests and flight data analysis, and ensure design integrity while aligning with customer requirements.

Qualifikationen

• BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
• 6+ years related experience in related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with landing gear or mechanisms design and analysis including kinematics, loads development, and structural sizing.
• In-depth experience in landing simulations and landing gear detail design.
• Experience in hydraulics and brake design and control.

Aufgaben

• Lead Mechanisms and Landing Gear Engineer for very complex projects with multiple systems and suppliers.
• Act as Test Director for mechanical, structural, and subsystems tests.
• Provide direction and oversight to Mechanical/Structures Engineers.
• Support business development through quotes, proposals, and sales efforts.
• Interface with other engineering disciplines to ensure requirements are addressed in system integration.
• Manage effort and time within budget and schedule, reporting progress.
• Prepare designs per customer requirements and derive specifications.
• Prepare and present design review materials to suppliers and customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and support flight testing, data reduction, and reporting.
