Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (KUAS) seeks a Mechanisms and Landing Gear Engineer III/IV to design, size, and predict performance of landing gear for unmanned aerial vehicles.

You will develop loads, perform structural sizing, and support ground and flight testing. You will lead complex projects, mentor engineers, interact with suppliers, and prepare formal documentation to meet customer requirements while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace) required.
• 6+ years in related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of landing gear or mechanisms design and analysis.
• Experience with landing gear simulations and design.
• Hydraulics and brake design knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Act as Lead Engineer for complex projects affecting multiple systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee technical work.
• Prepare designs and documentation to customer requirements.
• Support testing, flight testing, and data reduction.
