Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Spacecraft Environmental Requirements Engineer to support NASA/JPL MASS contract.

The role oversees a team of engineers to ensure flight hardware meets mission environmental needs and interfaces with project personnel and test teams. The position emphasizes extensive verification work, testing, and documentation, with onsite work and a 9/80 schedule; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to sensitive information.
• Requires 15+ years of experience in environmental requirements engineering, analysis and testing.
• Requires knowledge of EMC/EMI environments and spacecraft charging.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal and structural analyses of electronic hardware designs.
• Determine component temperatures for various environments and assess vibration fatigue life.
• Review technical analyses submitted to JPL programs/projects.
• Support environmental test programs including EMC/EMI, vibrations, and shock analyses.
• Prepare and manage risks in the environmental verification program.
