Job summary

Thermo King, part of Trane Technologies, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join the Application & Durability Testing Team on-site. The role owns test development, execution, and reporting for application and durability test cells, collaborating with technicians and DVP owners.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in engineering and 3+ years in a testing environment, with hands-on fabrication and instrumentation skills. On-site work and a strong quality focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience.
• At least 3 years in a testing environment (HVAC, NVH, vehicle testing, powertrain, aerospace, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Test planning and logistics support for Application & Durability.
• Coordinate prototype builds to support verification and validation.
• Clarify and adapt customer requirements to testing methods with DVP owners.
• Develop test procedures for each build and adapt standard work to test articles.
• Provide hands-on support to the test facility for correct execution of the plan.
• Create test reports communicating outcomes clearly and concisely.
