Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Development & Test Engineer II to lead end-to-end test capabilities for spacecraft and subsystems. This role focuses on building, validating, and integrating complex test setups on the production floor.

You will manage test projects, collaborate with design and other engineers, and design MGSE. Requires 8+ years in aerospace with NX Nastran/NX CAD/Teamcenter experience. Stock and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience with NX Nastran, NX CAD and Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and deployment of test infrastructure on the production floor.
• Advise on in-house test capabilities, limits, and future needs.
• Manage test projects from resourcing to budgeting.
• Hands-on implementation and validation of test infrastructure.
• Collaborate with design and other test engineers to define test requirements.
• Design complex MGSE to support test execution.
