Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Tech III in Las Vegas, NV to analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild, and maintain ground support equipment and systems. The role requires operating heavy equipment, and maintaining records while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Ideal candidates will have a two-year technical mechanical education or equivalent and eight years of related experience, plus eligibility for a government security clearance and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of operating heavy equipment.
• Must be able to qualify for and maintain a government security clearance.
• Must have a valid, state issued driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions using tools to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle and examine parts for damage or excessive wear.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and repair to heavy equipment, parts, accessories, and systems, including mechanical and hydraulic components, bearings and motors.
• Repair, adjust, or replace defective engines and subassemblies.
• Weld and apply protective coatings to corrosion and damaged parts.
• Reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Realign equipment and re-torque to specifications.
• Test overhauled equipment for operating efficiency.
• Service equipment with fluids and compressed air.
• Maintain equipment records and document maintenance actions.
• Dispose of hazardous material per environmental standards.
