Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Technician to support mechanical design and production at Fort George G. Meade Army Base, MD. The role emphasizes using AutoCAD and Trace 3D Plus across multiple projects to ensure compliant, efficient construction and operation.

You will work with engineers, planners, and clients to develop plans, perform site surveys, and document analyses and recommendations. Strong communication and QA/QC are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 11+ years of experience with preparing mechanical engineering design plans.
• US citizenship and a US Government-issued Secret clearance required.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency and hands-on application.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering design and production support from inception through construction.
• Leverage analytical and design skills to solve complex technical problems.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Trace 3D Plus to develop designs and problem solve.
• Develop construction plans, safety/phase plans, and update layouts.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and clients across multiple projects.
• Prepare data visualizations, reports, and technical drawings for project needs.
