Job summary

The Boeing Company (BDS) in Oklahoma City seeks a Lead Mechanical System Design Engineer to guide mechanical, fluid, and thermal system work for MS&B programs. You will serve as a SME for the B-52 fuels system and lead design, analysis, and documentation efforts on-site in Oklahoma City.

Requirements include a BS in engineering and 9+ years in mechanical systems design, with strong emphasis on fuels, hydraulics or ECS, plus CAD/CAM (CATIA) tooling and technical reporting abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials)
• 9+ years of experience in mechanical systems design
• Practical experience with Fuels, Hydraulic Systems, or ECS

Responsibilities

• Lead development and documentation of mechanical, fluid system and thermal environments
• Develop or modify system designs to provide documentation and high-level requirements
• Perform detailed design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
• Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems
• Prepare proposals and new business development efforts
• Coordinate with test program management for estimating work and intake
• Delegate tasks to design team and supervise junior engineers
