Job summary

Texas Institute for Electronics in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to lead design, fabrication, assembly and testing of complex equipment systems in a fast-paced research environment.   • Two years’ experience in nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, roll‑to‑roll systems development.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Doctoral degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Experience working in a research or start‑up environment.
Salary Range

  • Work is performed on‑site in a scientific research environment, with dynamic work conditions and frequent interruptions.
  • Work outside standard office hours could be required on an occasional basis during peak periods and special events.
