Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and maintain building cooling and heating equipment (chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers).
• Design and operate fluid distribution and HVAC systems, including exhaust and humidification.
• Troubleshoot system deficiencies and implement maintenance strategies to improve reliability and reduce operational costs.
• Oversee building mechanical systems with an emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and proactive maintenance.
• Perform additional related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications – Level I

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in building mechanical systems engineering, design, and construction.

Required Qualifications – Level II

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in building mechanical systems engineering, design, and construction.

Qualifications for Both Levels

• Familiarity with ASHRAE fundamentals, cooling/heating/steam system design, pump and piping design, and HVAC equipment operation.
• Experience troubleshooting deficiencies, formulating maintenance strategies, and identifying reliability and cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and teamwork orientation.
• Proficiency with PC hardware, Windows applications, AutoCAD Revit, construction drawing review, and instrumentation documentation.
