Job summary

Teledyne Brown Engineering seeks a Systems/Mechanical Engineer to lead technical efforts across lifecycle stages for complex mechanical systems, including high-consequence applications. You will decompose requirements, develop MBSE artifacts, and coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams.

The role emphasizes verification, design reviews, and clear briefings to customers and leadership. A PE license and ability to obtain security clearance are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field).
• 5–12 years of experience in systems/mechanical engineering for complex hardware programs.
• Experience defining and decomposing system/subsystem requirements and managing verification.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; PE license and ASME/NQA-1 knowledge are a plus.
• MBSE methods, design reviews, and interface management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for evaluation, design, manufacture and verification of complex mechanical systems.
• Apply MBSE to capture requirements, architectures and end-to-end traceability.
• Prepare design and procurement specifications; conduct design and readiness reviews.
• Brief customers and leadership on program status across disciplines.
