Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a Systems/Mechanical Engineer to act as technical lead, supporting evaluation, definition, design, manufacture, and verification of complex mechanical systems for commercial and U.S. Government customers.

Emphasis on end-to-end lifecycle—from requirements through validation—with MBSE guiding architectures and interfaces. The role involves preparing technical presentations, leading system requirements reviews, design reviews, and manufacturing readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field).
• Experience developing, managing, and decomposing system and subsystem requirements.
• Experience with verification and validation requirements, including TADI methods.
• Ability to prepare and review design and procurement specifications.
• Experience briefing customers and leadership, cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler (plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation, definition, design, manufacture, and verification of complex mechanical systems.
• Apply MBSE to capture, decompose requirements and maintain traceability.
• Prepare technical presentations and lead reviews (requirements, design, manufacturing readiness, test).
• Brief customers, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders on program status and recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, test, and quality assurance teams.
• Support regulated, safety-critical, or high-consequence engineering programs.
