Job summary

Boeing is hiring an Experienced Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer for the Integrated Design Engineering Team in Huntsville, Alabama. You will develop and document mechanical/thermofluid systems, lead analyses, and support production across multiple programs including IFPC-2, PAC-3, and ABMD lines.

Responsibilities include driving system design documentation, leading cost-reduction efforts, and mentoring other engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials)
• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering related role
• Knowledge of aerospace structure, materials strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions, and processes
• Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations

Responsibilities

• Develops and documents mechanical engineering designs and analysis, including technical data packages, test plans, post-test reports, process specifications, and work instructions
• Develops cost reduction proposals, calculates ROI, develops project requirements and schedules, and implements them into production
• Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
• Supports production activities and provides real-time support for non-conformances
• Leads development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design
