Job summary

Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) in Huntsville, AL is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on design, analysis, documentation and integration of mechanical systems and components, applying sound engineering principles.

You will develop BOMs, specify parts, and support manufacturing processes, with hands-on involvement in assembly and testing. A BA/BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Graduating GPA of 3.5+.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% of the year.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, document and integrate mechanical systems and packages.
• Develop BOMs and component specifications for mechanical assemblies.
• Apply design for manufacture and configuration management.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate complex mechanical systems.
