Job summary

The Boeing Company in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to join the IDE Team for IAMD Mechanical Engineering Capabilities. The role requires engineering design, analysis, supplier coordination, and leadership across multiple programs.

A U.S. Security Clearance is required or ability to obtain one; Level 3/4 pay scales apply depending on experience. Expect rigorous engineering standards and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials.
• 5+ years in a mechanical engineering related role.
• Knowledge of aerospace structures, materials strengths and properties.
• Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data and draw conclusions.
• Ability to digest functional requirements and apply them to the product.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment to produce high quality engineering products.

Responsibilities

• Develops and documents mechanical designs and analyses for data packages, test plans, and work instructions.
• Performs analyses to validate that systems meet requirements and specs.
• Supports production activities and addresses non-conformances in real time.
• Leads supplier development, testing, and production activities to optimize integration.
• Provides leadership and technical oversight to other mechanical engineers.
• Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
