Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of demonstrated mechanical design experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated industries.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks including assembly modeling and detailed drawings.
• Strong GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5 and tolerance application.
• Experience performing FEA using SolidWorks Simulation and interpreting results.
• Familiarity with machining, sheet metal, casting, and additive manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership in mechanical design and mentoring engineers.
• U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D parametric models and drawings from concept through production release.
• Produce GD&T-compliant drawings for fabrication and inspection.
• Perform tolerance analyses to verify fit and function.
• Conduct FEA to validate designs against loads, vibration, and temperature.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to optimize DFMA outcomes.
• Lead design reviews (PDR/CDR) and document baselines.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive design standards across projects.
