Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is hiring a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Mechanical to accelerate qualification and implementation of product designs with suppliers, optimizing for quality, cost, and cycle time across the lifecycle.

You will partner with internal engineering, quality, supply chain and manufacturing teams and manage supplier tooling, capacity and ramp-up, while driving SPC, root cause actions, and supplier selection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
• 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with mechanical fabrication manufacturing, IPC standards, CAD, GD&T
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time and relocate to Costa Mesa, CA

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the mechanical fabrication commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies across Anduril’s business lines
• Be a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team and overall commodity strategy, demonstrating ownership and technical excellence
• Vet suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, workforce for inclusion in Approved Supplier List
• Support SQE in ensuring suppliers' understanding of part quality criteria
• Bring up new production tooling and lines at supplier sites to ensure materials and processes meet performance and demand
• Own capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up at supplier
• Establish and drive process performance and controls (SPC) at supplier
• Identify and drive product and process improvements, factory layout optimization to lower costs and reduce risk
• Support SQE with root cause task forces and close loop corrective/preventative actions at supplier
