Job summary

SPC Mechanical's Service Project Manager oversees our commercial mechanical/plumbing special projects group, from estimating and proposal through award, planning and field execution to closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality on every job.

The role focuses on equipment changeouts and capital improvements, coordinating between estimating, procurement, field operations, and client communications within SPC Mechanical's standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in commercial mechanical and/or plumbing estimating and/or project management.
• Proven experience leading equipment changeout and capital improvement projects from bid through completion.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, equipment, and installation methods.
• Demonstrated ability to read and take off plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and budgeting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and preconstruction for all special projects (equipment changeouts, retrofits, capital improvements).
• Own execution of every awarded project from kickoff through closeout with schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and equipment deliveries to maintain schedule and scope.
• Coordinate labor with Field Supervisor and resolve field issues or changes.
• Manage submittals, change orders, and project documentation to protect margin.
