Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Senior Mechanical Revit Technician to develop and coordinate mechanical designs for data center facilities. You will work with engineers and designers to produce constructible BIM models, floor plans, and detailed HVAC/piping layouts for mission-critical environments.

The role requires strong Revit skills, multi-disciplinary coordination, and the ability to mentor junior staff in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Hybrid work options are available within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical design experience with increasing responsibility on complex facility projects.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit and BIM-based design workflows.
• Experience preparing construction documents for HVAC and hydronic systems.
• Working knowledge of mechanical equipment layouts, ductwork and piping systems.
• Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Revit/BIM models for complex mechanical systems on data center projects.
• Prepare detailed design and construction documents for HVAC, chilled water, condenser water, and hydronic piping systems.
• Support the development of Basis of Design (BOD) documents and design criteria packages.
• Create mechanical floor plans, equipment layouts, sections, and piping/ductwork routing drawings.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Participate in model coordination reviews using Navisworks, Revizto, and BIM workflows.
