CPL is seeking an experienced engineering leader to own complex building systems projects from concept through completion in Charlotte, NC. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

The role emphasizes technical leadership across mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection, with a strong focus on talent development, cross-disciplinary coordination, and delivering high-performance designs that meet client goals.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience in building systems.
• Professional licensure as a engineer.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop talent and build high-performing teams.
• Manage client relationships and guide vision sessions as trusted advisor.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Define project strategy, scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Ensure financial performance including billing, invoicing, and resource planning.
• Perform QA/QC reviews on designs, calculations, and methodologies.
• Contribute to business growth through proposals and client engagement.
