Job summary

May River Recruiting is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee multiple HVAC/mechanical construction projects in Winston-Salem, NC. You will manage scheduling, budgets, labor, safety, and quality from preconstruction through closeout.

You will lead kick-offs, reviews, subcontractor coordination, and change-management while ensuring customer satisfaction and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Contracting, HVAC, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in HVAC/mechanical contracting or related construction environment; project-management and estimating experience strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to project sites; OSHA 30 preferred and can obtain within company timeframe.
• Applicable trade licenses or certifications preferred where relevant to assigned work.
• Strong budgeting, estimating, mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time-management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD/drawing systems; familiarity with project-management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, budgets, cost reports, forecasts, and two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Manage projects to meet cost, schedule, scope, quality, and profitability objectives.
• Lead preconstruction planning, progress, and closeout meetings; coordinate field labor and subcontractors.
• Review plans and documents; identify conflicts before they impact the project.
• Monitor labor hours and productivity; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain project documentation, change orders, and closeout records.
