Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks a Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale data center mechanical construction, overseeing HVAC, piping, fire protection, and commissioning from kickoff to turnover. You’ll coordinate with multi-discipline teams, manage schedules and budgets, and maintain client relationships on site.

Ideal candidates bring 8–15 years of experience, strong leadership, and familiarity with EPC/multi-site execution in data center environments.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of industrial or commercial construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction activities from project kickoff through turnover and closeout.
• Manage HVAC, chilled water, piping, plumbing, fire protection, equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Coordinate mechanical work with engineering, electrical, structural, civil, controls, commissioning, owners, and subcontractors.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, labor productivity, cost forecasts, procurement, and change orders.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, manpower, materials, progress, and contract requirements.
• Serve as the primary client contact for mechanical project execution and issue resolution.
• Promote job-site safety and ensure work meets project specifications, codes, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Lead inspections, testing, punch-list completion, commissioning support, turnover documentation, and final acceptance.
• Provide leadership and support to superintendents, coordinators, field engineers, foremen, craft personnel, and subcontractors.
