Job summary

WRS - Worldwide Recruitment Solutions in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a landmark mechanical construction project valued over $100M. You will own execution from preconstruction through commissioning, leading a high-performing team of PMs, engineers, and field leaders.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in mechanical construction PM, deep HVAC/plumbing/MEP knowledge, and proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and safety standards on complex projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
• Proven success managing large commercial or industrial mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, hydronics, piping, and MEP coordination.
• Experience managing project financials, forecasting, budgets, and change management.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of a large, complex mechanical project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project financials, forecasting, budgets, cash flow, cost control, and profitability.
• Serve as primary contact for owners, general contractors, design teams, and stakeholders.
• Direct procurement strategy, subcontractor management, scheduling, logistics, and risk mitigation.
• Partner with field leadership to drive productivity, manpower planning, installation sequencing, and project execution.
• Support design coordination, BIM/VDC collaboration, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, contract administration, and project documentation.
• Ensure safety, quality, and commissioning standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Coordinators.
