Senior Project Manager – Mechanical Construction
Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 annually, DOE

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final completion and closeout.
This individual will be responsible for overall project performance, including budget, schedule, subcontractor and vendor coordination, procurement, change management, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has a strong background working for a mechanical contractor or subcontractor and understands the complexities of HVAC and plumbing construction. This position requires someone who can take ownership of projects, anticipate issues before they affect the schedule, and effectively coordinate between field operations, clients, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical construction projects from kickoff through final closeout and turnover.
- Maintain responsibility for project budgets, forecasting, cost control, schedules, and profitability.
- Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, piping, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and field activities.
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Manage procurement and ensure equipment and materials are delivered according to project schedules.
- Identify potential project risks, conflicts, and schedule impacts and develop solutions proactively.
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage change orders.
- Work closely with Superintendents and field leadership to maintain productivity and project execution.
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, architects, vendors, and other trades.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate schedule, budget, and operational updates to key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet company expectations for Safety, Quality, and Production.
- Oversee project documentation, punch-list completion, commissioning coordination, and final closeout.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven Project Management experience within commercial mechanical construction.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, schedules, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and field operations.
- Experience coordinating with general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
- Strong financial and project-cost management skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent mechanical construction experience will also be considered.
Compensation
$140,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience.
