Job summary

PM Design, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer to lead complex building systems projects across retail, commercial, and hospitality sectors. You will design HVAC and plumbing layouts, perform energy calculations, and develop accurate drawings in Revit and AutoCAD.

The role requires PE licensure, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and strong leadership with multi-project management ability. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with project teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Senior Mechanical Designer

Lead complex projects and shape innovative building systems.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with project leadership to develop and execute plans.
• Apply working knowledge of ASHRAE codes and industry standards.
• Design and layout HVAC systems (including energy calculations) and plumbing systems (sanitary waste, venting, domestic water, natural gas).
• Select, size, and specify HVAC and plumbing components.
• Document designs in Revit/AutoCAD and prepare scope, concepts, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits, gather field data, and prepare reports.
• Direct and mentor staff and consultants preparing drawings and specifications.
• Review project status, budgets, and proactively address risks.
• Maintain strong client, consultant, and agency relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
