Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer (On-Site) with 10–15 years of licensed experience. The role requires coordination across disciplines, overseeing construction documents, and strong client engagement.

You will lead design teams, ensure code compliance, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as a primary contact for multiple stakeholders. On-site work in a dynamic office environment is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Licensed engineer for multiple states is expected.
• 10–15 years of work experience as a licensed engineer.

Responsibilities

• Implement project engineering tasks including Construction Documents, coordination with other disciplines, permitting, bidding and construction administration.
• Ensure high quality control of construction documents, specifications, and RFIs.
• Lead and mentor engineering designers to produce high-quality construction documents within budget.
• Coordinate with project architect/manager on design scope, schedule, budget and site issues.
• Set up project budgets and manage scope to meet deadlines.
• Serve as main contact for clients, contractors and consultants with guidance from project leadership.
• Maintain company and client standards and stay updated on design trends and codes.
