Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Project Engineer to support mechanical projects for our Nuclear Services Group, coordinating design teams, managing budgets, and advancing client relationships from our Overland Park, KS presence. The role includes proposal development and cross-functional leadership to deliver on time and within scope.

The position requires 6+ years in nuclear, power, or industrial engineering or as a PM, a Mechanical/Nuclear/Chemical engineering degree (or PMP) and a PE license is

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of nuclear, power, or industrial engineering/project management experience.
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering or PMP with 10+ years of related experience.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Ability to travel 10-15% and gain unescorted nuclear site access.

Responsibilities

• Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and act as a technical leader to ensure the project solution and quality goals are met.
• Plan, execute, and finalize projects within schedule and budget; report financial status and project performance to management.
• Develop winning, highly technical engineering proposals and aggressively support marketing efforts to identify new opportunities.
