Job summary

LJA Energy Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering activities across midstream projects. This role independently handles complex technical matters, sets engineering standards, and serves as the responsible engineer reviewing and sealing designs and documents.

The position involves guiding staff, collaborating with management, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineering license from a recognized licensing board.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of midstream mechanical engineering design experience including experience with natural gas.
• Experience with midstream process plants, pipelines, and related facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and oversight to mechanical engineering staff on complex design challenges.
• Coordinate with project management to ensure staffing, design quality, and schedules.
• Work with suppliers, consultants, and internal disciplines to maintain standards and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in proposal development and support project pursuits.
• Review and approve drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documents.
• Establish training needs and support technical training programs.
• Stay updated on industry codes and regulatory changes.
