Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer – Oil & Gas in Sabine Pass, TX, for a 12-month temporary onsite assignment. The role supports LNG facilities with limited oversight, leading complex workstreams and coordinating with multiple functions.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of mechanical experience in regulated environments, strong communication, and proven ability to deliver on-time design and procurement tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience for Level IV in LNG, petrochemical, or regulated environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication, collaboration across office and site teams, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for LNG facility equipment and subassemblies, including sheet-metal and plastics.
• Design, engineer and evaluate mechanical models related to LNG equipment and systems.
• Consult with suppliers and partners to develop products.
• Liaise with production teams and sales force to align requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and post-production updates.
• Manage procurement of mechanical prototype parts for development.
• Maintain BOM and assembly documentation for all products.
• Estimate timelines and manage the design schedule for timely delivery.
