Job summary

SpecSys is seeking a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for mobile equipment, including structural, fluid power and powertrain systems. You will manage complex projects and provide direction to other engineers, performing component selection, CAD work, analysis, and BOM documentation.

Collaboration with manufacturing, project managers and clients ensures on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Leadership skills to guide and manage other engineers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for complex design work.
• Experience with large weldments and fabrication is desirable.
• Ability to interact at a management level with Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Clients, and Quality.

Responsibilities

• Verifying design meets performance specifications.
• Contract management to complete projects on time and on budget.
• Coordinate resources of project teams and develop timelines.
• Provide work instructions for engineers, designers and drafters.
• Prepare and present progress reports to customers.
