Job summary

Pacifico Energy is hiring a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to serve as the owner’s technical authority for design, procurement, and construction of gas turbine power generation facilities with battery energy storage. This role supports multiple projects across the portfolio and may dedicate to a site during execution.

You will lead engineering decisions, coordinate with OEMs and EPCs, assess technology options, and ensure compliance, lifecycle economics, and asset performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in open cycle gas turbine power generation project development or owner/operator roles.
• Deep knowledge of turbine auxiliaries and balance-of-plant interfaces.
• Experience with air permitting, emissions compliance, and environmental control systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner’s technical authority for design, procurement and construction.
• Lead technical development for RFQs, bid specs and EPC contracts.
• Coordinate with OEMs, EPCs and owners to ensure performance and lifecycle economics.
• Lead risk, permitting, and regulatory compliance activities across projects.
• Oversee integration of turbine packages and balance-of-plant systems from concept to commissioning.
