Job summary

AMG, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Process Engineer to lead complex industrial projects and guide cross-disciplinary teams. This succession-track role emphasizes technical authority and strategic business impact, with relocation support for the right candidate.

The position requires a PE license, 15+ years of experience in mechanical/process design, and a proven ability to grow client relationships while delivering safe, compliant, and efficient facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Mechanical).
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical and process engineering design in industrial settings.
• Strong client-facing experience, including participation in proposals and business development.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects.
• Experience with milling systems and bulk material handling, steam and boiler systems, and process piping design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and provide PE oversight on projects.
• Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and operational requirements.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
• Lead the design, evaluation, and execution of complex industrial and process systems across multiple facilities.
• Manage scope, schedule, and risk across concurrent projects.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support business development activities.
