PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC is seeking a senior engineering leader in New York to manage and guide complex mechanical design efforts. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive project planning, forecasting, and execution while serving as a key technical authority on the project.

The role requires 15+ years in mechanical engineering with leadership experience, PE/CPD or equivalent credentials, and the ability to grow the business through client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 15+ years of industry experience with significant management and leadership responsibilities.
• Professional credentials (PE, CPD, RCDD, or equivalent) expected.
• Proven ability to lead profitable projects, manage billing, reporting and resource scheduling.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with client-facing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design tools like Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, overseeing project planning, forecasting tools and progress tracking.
• Provide technical leadership of mechanical design as Lead Engineer; serve as Engineer of Record when required.
• Secure new work to meet billing goals and support business development.
• Represent the firm in client presentations, interviews and industry engagements.
• Contribute to firm leadership, shaping standards and technical operations.
• Mentor and develop staff while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Enforce the Project Quality Management Plan and uphold quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
