Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Mechanical Process Design Lead to drive design for groundwater and wastewater projects. You will collaborate with PMs and consultants to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions across industrial and environmental sectors.

The role requires a PE license, a mechanical engineering degree, and 15+ years in wastewater process design. The position offers flexible Eastern USA office locations and a dynamic, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 15+ years in wastewater treatment design.
• Alternative: Associate degree or technical certification with 20+ years in wastewater design.
• Currently active PE license.

Responsibilities

• Lead process mechanical design for large groundwater and wastewater projects.
• Develop functional, constructable process mechanical designs with P&IDs, diagrams, layouts.
• Create 3D models, specs, and documents; use Plant 3D, Revit MEP; hydraulic software.
• Prepare Basis of Design reports, control narratives, and technical specs.
• Serve as mechanical/technical lead on large multidisciplinary projects.
