Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Mechanical Process Design Lead to drive the design of large groundwater and wastewater systems. You will lead a team of engineers, develop P&IDs, flow diagrams, layouts, and 3D models, and coordinate with vendors and clients to deliver robust, constructible designs.

The role requires a PE license and significant experience in wastewater treatment, with strong communication skills and a track record of delivering complex projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 15+ years in wastewater treatment design.
• Alternatively an Associate’s degree with 20+ years in wastewater/related design.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Equivalent education and experience in allied fields will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead process mechanical design for large groundwater and wastewater projects.
• Develop functional, constructable process designs incl. P&IDs and layouts.
• Create 3D models, specs, equipment data sheets; use CAD/BIM tools.
• Prepare Basis of Design reports and technical specifications.
• Serve as mechanical lead on multidisciplinary projects; assist with commissioning.
