Job summary

TW Constructors is seeking a Mechanical Preconstruction Manager in St. Louis, MO. You will lead the preconstruction process for mechanical and plumbing systems, develop estimates, review design documents, and coordinate with owners, engineers, and subcontractors to improve cost certainty and constructability.

This role requires a strong background in mechanical construction, bid analysis, and mentoring staff, with nationwide project exposure and a focus on value engineering and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 5–10 years of mechanical estimating/preconstruction or related construction experience.
• Experience estimating HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical equipment for commercial/industrial projects.
• Procore or related estimating tools experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical preconstruction activities from concept through turnover.
• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates for mechanical/plumbing systems.
• Review drawings/specifications and define scopes of work.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and owners to mitigate risks.
• Mentor junior estimators and support client presentations.
